Corpus Rant - 2007/10/08 03:39 First off, David and crew work really hard at trying to make these events run as well as they can, so I'm not whining about the staff or the show in general as it had a lot of nice stuff, and I was treated with courtesy and respect by every single staffer I encountered over the course of the show.

Now there are some issues I had outside of the show, and right before I left the show that SUCKED so here goes:

1. Thank you lady who backed into my car not once, but twice from what I was told, that's awesome doing so in a rental with no license (?) too. My 1100 dollar rear wheel now has all kinds of rash on it, and my fender/bumper/lip are all scuffed and slightly bent...awesome, appreciate that. Thank God there were some people who saw it, got the license plate, and were kind enough to give me their numbers in case the insurance company gives me any shit.

2. Speaking of witnesses, this morning when I left I saw their truck had gotten broke into (?!?!), it looked weird from our hotel room, so when I went to see how bad the previous nights work to my car was, I saw the glass had been broken and they left the window sitting inside the truck. I stayed up until about 3am watching over their truck and my car Saturday night and just couldn't keep my eyes open any longer, sorry that happened to you guys and sorry you had to drive all the way back to Louisiana dealing with some bullshit, if I had seen them messing with your truck I'd have jumped from our baclony to the roof right next to it and been down there snap...ugh.

3. Lastly, thanks to the f-in coward jealous ass piece of shit jackasses who vandalized my front bumper while my car was parked at the show, the shit you broke can't be fixed easily, is going to cost me a ton of money, and I can't belive people still do this shit, what are you, like little 5 year olds or something? Think it makes you a man destroying other people's property? I bust my ass every single day and my ride is my reward and my passion for all the hard work I do, and you assholes violated it. You are the lowest of the low on the food chain, and it WILL come back to you some way, mark my words, 36 years has taught me that what comes around goes around, so be ready for that karma ass whoopin' that is long overdue.

I have to say Corpus was an armpit of a town, the roads were AWFUL, every time I tried to pull into a parking lot, the entrances were like 90 degrees steep and like 3 feet wide making it next to impossible to park anywhere without leaving parts behind. (even going in at an angle a lost cause, and I've been driving lowered shit for over 15 years) The cops were a joke, some of the people assholes, and the shit that happened with my car, and just the general vibe in the air the whole time I was there flat out sucked. I was really looking forward to this show, and the show itself was good, but damn did the location and some of the people suck ass. If I go back next year, I'm renting something or buying a 100 dollar car so I won't have to deal with this shit again.

Re:Corpus Rant - 2008/04/02 22:42 well I was born there, so I like going back.. but I tend to get lost etc too..

Im a people person, so I get along with most people etc.

I usually just spectate that show tho... cuz my truck is more for the actual use of offroading, more then shows.. but Im getting lots of mods done for a different show in a few weeks.. and maybe I'll be indoor worthy by the time corpus comes around.. tho I dont know how I'll be getting around.. taxis? friends? whatever..

Ive only been to the 1st 2 in Corpus..
